Source International is proud to announce that two of its products, Zenith and Charm Lounge, have been named Best of Year Honorees by Interior Design Magazine. The awards recognize Zenith in the Educational Furniture category and Charm Lounge in the Contract Lounge Seating category.
Presented annually by Interior Design, the Best of Year Awards celebrate the most innovative work from around the world, spotlighting standout projects, products, and the creative minds shaping what’s happening now and next in design. This year marked a significant milestone for the program, celebrating its 20th anniversary of honoring excellence across architecture, interiors, and product design.
Winners and honorees were revealed by Interior Design Editor-in-Chief Cindy Allen during a ceremony held in Manhattan on December 11th, continuing the program’s legacy as one of the industry’s most respected design recognitions.
Charm Lounge
Designed by acclaimed Spanish designer Gemma Bernal, Charm Lounge is a compact, yet sculptural seating solution defined by warmth, comfort, and versatility. With seamless curves and thoughtful detailing, Charm was envisioned as “a small, inviting seat that exudes a sense of warmth and comfort, like a gentle hug that envelops you.”
The design eliminates hard edges, ensuring every point of contact feels soft and natural. Defined by two harmonious elements, the sculptural backrest that flows gracefully to the floor and the pouf-inspired seat, Charm achieves a cohesive silhouette that feels both bold and approachable, making it well-suited for a wide range of contract environments.
Zenith
Designed by SF&M Studio in collaboration with Emanuele Bertolini, Zenith is a refined exploration of minimalism, functionality, and human connection. More than just a chair, Zenith embodies a disciplined approach to design where form follows function to create an intuitive and adaptable seating experience.
Engineered for versatility, Zenith is a flip, nest, and stack training and guest seating solution ideal for meeting rooms, learning environments, auditoriums, corporate spaces, and multipurpose settings. Its space-efficient design supports flexibility and ease of use, key requirements in today’s evolving educational and commercial interiors.
